Built in 1613, the Fort of Jhansi was constructed by Raja Bir Singh
Judao of Orchha. This fort was constructed on top of a rocky hill and
the entire city of Jhansi is built around it.
In ancient times, the wall of the fort used to surround the entire city of Jhansi and had ten gates. Many of the gates have disappeared with time, but some still stand and the places near the gates are still popular by the names of the gates. The names of some of the gates are Unnao Gate, Khandero Gate, Sagar Gate, Datia Darwaza, Chand Gate, Jharna Gate, Laxmi Gate, Sainyar Gate and Orchha Gate.

The Queen's Palace or Rani Mahal was constructed by Raghunath II
Newalkar. This erstwhile home of the Rani of Jhansi has now been
converted into a museum, which displays a whole lot of memory of Rani
Lakshmi Bai as well as archaeological evidences of the era belonging to
9th to 12th century that were discovered in recent times.

This beautiful temple situated at the bank of beautiful laxmi tal. This temple was made before laxmi bai era and locals informed us that even laxmi bai use to come and worship at this temple. Near to the temple, there is also colony of people effected from leprosy disease, we also visited there and distributed Prasad and fruits to them.

Located some 24 km from the city of Jhansi, Barua Sagar is a municipal
board and city in the district of Jhansi which is famous for the Barua
Sagar Lake. The place is also famous for being the battleground of the
Bundelas and the Marathas in 1744 AD. Situated on the bank of River
Betwa, the region offers many attractions like the fort of Jarai-ka-Math
and other temples.

Is situated right at the Jhansi fort. This temple is famous because this is the place where Rani Laxmi Bai got married to Gangadhar Rao. It attracts several tourists who ever visit the fort. The main varanda/ hall is pretty big and the beautiful ganesh idol is made up of marble. A must visit temple.

Parichha is a dam built some 25 km away from Jhansi on the Betwa River.
The reservoir of the dam is perfect for water sports. Located in Jhansi

extends up to Notghat Bridge around 34 km from Jhansi. Boating is a
